History and Philosophy

History & Philosophy

Normus Urban Projects has been providing building solutions for clients for over 20 years, and are committed to delivering quality outcomes that meet their specific needs.

The company was established in 1991 and focused on building quality medium density housing projects and aged care accommodation. Over the years a strong relationship developed with Housing SA and many not-for-profit organisations in Adelaide. Our product range is diverse from custom designed homes to large projects. In the early days, the work varied from an aged care nursing home at Grange, refurbishing Forsyth house at Aldersgate Village, independent living units, a three storey apartment building in the city, to townhouse developments scattered throughout the suburbs.

Normus Urban Projects has sustained controlled growth over the years and invaluable experience in all aspects of medium density housing projects and independent living accommodation. Normus Urban Projects has been cementing its position as a leader in the medium density home construction industry in Adelaide. We are proud of what the team has achieved and believe that we continue to contribute positively to the growth and development of South Australia’s landscape.

What is important to us is to build homes and facilities that accommodate the specific needs of our diverse clients in independent living and for people with disabilities. A major focus is to provide housing that is both sustainable and affordable with leading edge design and street appeal. We strongly believe in delivering a range of lifestyle options in our building solutions to suit a wide variety of needs and budgets.

Our Policies

Safety is paramount at Normus Urban Projects and every aspect of the construction phase is carefully monitored by the Site Manager. Extensive procedures are in place beginning with signage, security fencing, high visibility vests and additional OHS features for each and every project including on-site monitoring by our qualified OHS Inspector.

Our Site Managers are hands-on throughout the construction phase setting up each day’s activities and working through any challenges to keep the project on time and on budget.
